Shiba Inu Bulls Eye $0.00000622 as Vitalik Buterin's 2020 Transfer Still Shapes Token's Scarcity
Shiba Inu is once again flashing bullish signals on its charts, but its most enduring story still dates back to a decision made by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin more than four years ago.
The unsolicited transfer of half of Shiba Inu's one-quadrillion token supply from creator Ryoshi to Buterin in 2020 remains a defining chapter in the token's history and continues to shape how investors think about SHIB's scarcity today.
Buterin didn't sit on that allocation for long, as he executed a donation of 50 trillion SHIB to India's COVID-19 relief fund in May 2021, permanently removing the tokens from circulation and making it one of the most-referenced burns in crypto history.
SHIB is currently trading near $0.00000521, holding above key moving averages as buyers defend important support levels. A breakout above $0.00000536 could push SHIB toward $0.00000575 and then $0.00000622.
