Shiba Inu Exchange Metrics Flash Green Amid Mixed Signals
Shiba Inu's (SHIB) exchange metrics are showing an interesting change. The seven-day average exchange outflow has increased by a significant 191.89%, indicating that SHIB is moving away from trading platforms more frequently.
This could be a positive signal, as rising outflows can decrease the supply available for sale and make it harder to push down prices. However, the overall exchange picture is still mixed.
Exchange reserves have only grown by 0.5%, suggesting that there hasn't been a significant build-up of SHIB on exchanges due to recent activity. Other signals are somewhat encouraging, with active addresses and receiving addresses increasing by 0.89%.
However, the bearish side cannot be disregarded. The average inflow size has increased by 1.9%, while total exchange inflows have increased by 1.71%. More significantly, the seven-day moving average of mean exchange inflows has increased by a substantial 354.32%.
This could result in more sell-side liquidity as significant amounts of SHIB move towards exchanges. This leads to two possible scenarios: either exchange outflows continue to rise while SHIB retains its current support structure, or higher exchange inflows start to translate into real selling and decline demand and reserves.
