Shiba Inu Exchange Outflows Soar 121% Amid Record Token Influx

Shiba Inu exchange outflows increased by 121% over the past week, but the influx of SHIB tokens into trading platforms grew even more rapidly. According to CryptoQuant, the seven-day average SHIB outflow rose by 121.26% to approximately 579 million tokens, while exchange inflows jumped by 182.3% to about 1.68 billion tokens.

This trend resulted in a net positive flow of 86.53 billion tokens across major exchanges, with elevated reserve balances for SHIB. Analysts cautioned that increased deposits do not necessarily indicate imminent selling, as users may transfer tokens for multiple reasons. However, the current structure means buyers must absorb higher supply to sustain the latest price recovery.

The uptick in SHIB deposits outweighed outflows this cycle, with net positive exchange flows pointing to significant liquidity at hand if demand falters. Against this backdrop, SHIB traded 1.14% higher within 24 hours and nearly 6% above weekly lows, following a volatile stretch driven by stronger-than-expected U.S. employment data.
