Shiba Inu Expands Global Presence Despite No Dedicated ETF
Despite no dedicated spot ETF for Shiba Inu (SHIB) in the United States yet, the cryptocurrency is expanding its presence globally. According to Mazrael, a long-standing member of the Shiba Inu community, SHIB is 'well on track' despite not having an ETF.
The T. Rowe Price ETF, which was approved by the SEC in June 2022, lists SHIB as one of its eligible assets. However, it has launched with eight other coins, excluding SHIB: Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, XRP, Chainlink, Dogecoin, and Cardano.
In Europe, the Valour SHIB ETP is now tradable. In Japan, Laser Digital Japan, a subsidiary of Nomura's digital assets company, has completed its registration and is authorized to operate as a crypto asset exchange service provider under Japan's Payment Services Act. SHIB is among the six crypto assets listed by this exchange.
Additionally, Coinbase has introduced regulated crypto futures trading for eligible Canadian clients through its CFTC-registered futures arm. This includes 23 crypto futures contracts, with Shiba Inu (SHIB) being one of them.
