Shiba Inu Legacy Link Sparks 'Project Is Dead' Fears

Shiba Inu's community is up in arms over a broken link on the project's legacy website, which has sparked fears that the SHIB project is dead. Long-time Shiba Inu veteran Mazrael has called out the outdated link, stating that it creates a false impression of the project's demise.

The Shibatoken.com domain was registered just three days after SHIB launched in August 2020 and served as a redirect to the shib.io website for years. However, in April 2026, the redirect was severed, leaving thousands of partner pages, listings, and directories pointing to a dead end.

Mazrael emphasized that this is not due to neglect or an expired domain, but rather someone with control made a deliberate choice to cut Shib's own traffic away from its ecosystem. The Shiba Inu community has been urged to review their SHIB-related links and update them where necessary.
