A claim that Shiba Inu would abandon its current blockchain and rebuild ShibaSwap on new infrastructure has sparked controversy within the community. The proposal, made by user RuggRat, suggested a significant change to the project's roadmap.

However, longtime Shiba Inu commentator Mazrael quickly dismissed the claim as 'fake', emphasizing that there is no connection between the accounts promoting this information and Shibarium or ShibaSwap. Mazrael also warned about similar false migration claims circulating through Telegram, advising users to be cautious when dealing with such messages.

SHIB was trading at $0.0000005481 on the day of the controversy, down 0.06% over the previous 24 hours according to data provided. The project's market capitalization stood at $3.22 billion, representing a 0.28% increase in this time period.

Despite the disputed migration claim, Shiba Inu's documented development roadmap remains focused on its existing ecosystem, including Shibarium and upgrades to ShibaSwap.
