Shiba Inu Network Activity Explodes, Large Holders Rebalance Holdings
Shiba Inu's network activity has seen a dramatic increase over the past two days, with on-chain metrics showing a tenfold jump in transactions and trading volume surging by over 384% compared to its seven-day average.
The surge in activity is not due to retail buying or selling, but rather suggests that large holders, market makers, or institutions may be moving funds around. This is indicated by the near balance between exchange inflows and outflows, with Binance processing approximately 896 billion SHIB in withdrawals by July 26.
Transaction volume was not the only metric to increase, as active addresses also climbed 44%, showing increased participation across the network during the two-day surge. This combination of higher transfer activity, increased wallet participation, and balanced exchange flows aligns with the behavior of institutional players or large holders adjusting their positions.
