Shiba Inu Network Sees Surge in Burn Activity Amid Recovery Efforts
The Shiba Inu network is showing signs of recovery after experiencing weeks of dormancy. According to data from its on-chain tracking platform, the burn rate has surged by over 618% in the last 24 hours, with a total of 11.35 million SHIB tokens moved out of circulation.
This marks the highest daily surge in burn activity since July 27, when the network experienced its biggest burn of the year. The large token burns on the Shiba Inu network fuel scarcity and potentially drive demand, which could lead to a major price recovery.
Despite this positive trend, Shiba Inu's trading price remains low, currently hovering around $0.0000044 and reflecting a negative return of -5.11% for August.
