Shiba Inu Price Hinges on Breakout from Descending Trendline
The Shiba Inu price is facing another critical test as it approaches a crucial technical barrier that has consistently capped every recovery attempt this year. Despite improving on-chain activity, SHIB continues to trade below a descending trendline that has rejected previous attempts at a breakout.
However, the latest data suggests growing community participation and a surge in token burns, with over 5.3 million SHIB tokens permanently burned in the past 24 hours, a nearly 92% increase from the daily burn rate. While this may reinforce the project's long-term objective of creating a more deflationary token economy, it is unclear whether this will be enough to drive a sustained price recovery.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to expand beyond its meme coin origins, with development around Shibarium and staking participation showing promise. Nevertheless, the market remains cautious, with investors requiring stronger trading volume and capital inflows before assigning a higher valuation to SHIB.
