Shiba Inu Price Surges 36% on Weekend Rally
Shiba Inu (SHIB) price surged 36% on Sunday to reach $0.0000057, adding around $1 billion in market value.
The rally had two distinct legs: a first push late Saturday followed by nine hours of flat price action, and then another move through the Asian morning session.
South Korean exchange Upbit's SHIB/KRW pair was the single largest market, handling over 10% of global SHIB trading volume, with around $62 million in volume.
A whale returned after six months of inactivity, spending $125,000 to buy more than 30 billion tokens. While a single purchase cannot directly cause a price move, it can act as a signal that draws in other buyers.
