Shiba Inu Sees Boost from Japan's Crypto-Friendly Reforms
Japan is embracing cryptocurrency adoption at an accelerated pace following new regulatory reforms. Shiba Inu (SHIB) has seen increased interest in the country, with its trading volume reaching 167 billion tokens over a 24-hour period. The development may be attributed to Japan's recent reclassification of cryptocurrencies as financial instruments under the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (FIEA). This shift opens up opportunities for cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the region.
The new regulations have also led to Shiba Inu being included on Japan's JVCEA Green List, handled by nine exchanges. Although no SHIB ETF has been approved yet, this development bodes well for the cryptocurrency's adoption and trading volume in Japan.
