Shiba Inu Spot ETF Dreams Take Shape Amid Regulatory Milestones
The Shiba Inu (SHIB) community is abuzz with excitement as longtime figure Mazrael hints that the project's long-awaited spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) ambitions may be closer to becoming a reality.
Mazrael acknowledged that SHIB does not yet have its own U.S. spot ETF, but highlighted regulatory and market developments involving the asset across various countries, including the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Canada.
SHIB is listed as eligible for T. Rowe Price's TKNZ fund, which received SEC approval in June 2026. However, SHIB was not included in the fund's initial holdings, despite being among the six assets supported by Laser Digital Japan, Nomura's digital asset subsidiary, in Japan.
The Valour's SHIB ETP is now live and tradable in Europe, giving investors another regulated avenue for exposure, while SHIB has also gained access to Canada's regulated crypto futures market through Coinbase's CFTC-registered futures arm.
