Shiba Inu Surges 36% on Korea-Driven Speculation, Whale Activity

The price of Shiba Inu (SHIB) surged 36% in a day to around $0.0000057, adding roughly $1 billion in market value.

This rapid increase was primarily driven by South Korean traders, with the SHIB/KRW pair on Upbit accounting for over $62 million in volume, more than a tenth of global SHIB trading.

The rally occurred in a market structure that made SHIB easier to squeeze higher than usual, with exchange reserves at a historical low and whales playing a significant role in the price action.

The combination of regional speculative flow, liquidity squeeze, whale activity, and technical breakout all contributed to the sharp move up, rather than any new fundamental news or project-specific announcement.
