Shiba Inu Surpasses 1.8 Million Addresses Across Multi-Chain Ecosystem
The Shiba Inu cryptocurrency has reached a milestone of over 1.8 million addresses across both Ethereum and Shibarium, its multi-chain ecosystem. Long-time community member Mazrael noted that the growth should be measured across all chains it is present on, rather than relying on a single-chain figure. According to data from Etherscan, Shiba Inu's total holder count for SHIB was 1.689 million.
Mazrael shared a screenshot from 'ShibWallet' which showed a holder count of 1.84 million for SHIB across Ethereum and Shibarium. Other Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens also have a footprint on both networks, with BONE having a total holder count of 98,600; LEASH at 53,800; and TREAT at 4,700.
Shibarium, the project's Ethereum layer-2 network, has increased the ecosystem's on-chain presence. The consumer price index rose 0.4% in August month over month and 3.4% year over year, which led to a rebound in the broader crypto market and Shiba Inu's price.
