Shiba Inu Token Exodus: Half Trillion SHIB Leaves Exchanges Amid Price Stability
Half a trillion Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens left exchanges in the past 24 hours, but the price action remains mixed. Despite outflows of almost 406 billion SHIB, there was a positive net exchange flow of about 197 billion SHIB.
The average outflow size increased during this time, indicating that large holders are still removing significant amounts of tokens from trading platforms. This unusual dynamic shows that both rising exchange reserves and elevated exchange withdrawals are occurring simultaneously.
Rising exchange reserves usually indicate a bearish signal because they show more tokens are accessible for trading. However, elevated exchange withdrawals often suggest investors are accumulating assets with the intention of holding them in self-custody rather than selling them immediately.
The current equilibrium is reflected in price action, with SHIB trading at about $0.00000500 after a dramatic rebound from its July lows. The token is still above the 26-day and 50-day exponential moving averages but is currently consolidating just below the 100-day EMA.
