Shibarium Activity Jumps 78%, but SHIB Price Fails to Respond
Shibarium, the Layer-2 blockchain from Shiba Inu, saw a significant surge in activity over the past day. According to Shibariumscan data, daily transactions rose by 78.51% within just a few days, reaching 1,180 yesterday. This marks a notable recovery from July 21's second-lowest daily transaction count of 661.
Despite this improvement, Shiba Inu's price has yet to respond. The token fell from an intraday high of $0.000004243 to a low of $0.000004102 before recovering slightly, and is currently trading at $0.000004189. Over the past 24 hours, SHIB declined by 1.28%, 8.21% over the week, and 0.34% month-to-date.
The Shiba Inu ecosystem continues to face several challenges that have dampened investor confidence. The ongoing bearish market has produced few positive developments for the project, with community members expressing concerns over team member departures from X, unfinished initiatives, and low SHIB burn activity. However, Shibarium's recent transaction rebound has fueled speculation about long-awaited positive catalysts.
