Shibarium Sees Infrastructure Upgrade Amid Explorer Rebuilding
The Shibarium blockchain has undergone significant changes in the last 30 days, according to Shibizens, an X handle focused on Shiba Inu. The changes include a major server migration and full chain re-indexing, which Shibizens emphasizes is not a slowdown but rather an infrastructure upgrade.
The Shibarium explorer synchronization is approximately 45% complete, with the explorer rebuilding from scratch. As a result, current data remains partial, leading to discrepancies between real and visible data on the explorer. For example, the total number of blocks displayed was around 2.4 million, while the actual number exceeds 14 million.
Shibizens addresses concerns that if tokens or NFTs are not showing on the explorer, it may not indicate a loss of assets but rather an indexing delay. The Shibarium blockchain itself remains fully intact. Shibizens notes that the explorer is rebuilding at scale for what's coming next.
The focus has now shifted to layer 3, including Shib Alpha/ShibClaw, with Puppynet continuing to see an increase in AI-driven automated contract activity and steady blocktime of around five seconds.
