Shibarium Sprints 507%, Then Slides Back Down
Shibarium's daily transaction count experienced a sudden surge of 507% on August 9, rising from 738 to 4,480. However, this increase was short-lived as the numbers quickly reversed, falling to 831 transactions by August 10.
This trend is not new for Shibarium, which has previously seen significant activity spikes followed by sharp declines. In July, transactions jumped before plummeting, and on August 1, they rose to 2,570 only to return to the baseline.
Despite this volatility, development on Shibarium continues with Shiba Inu developers expanding documentation pages covering crucial topics such as ERC-4337 gasless transactions and hosted on-chain data endpoints.
The broader crypto market remains in a transitional recovery phase, according to Glassnode. Institutional flows are improving, but subdued spot liquidity and weak on-chain activity suggest the recovery is tentative.
