Shibarium Upgrades with Safe v1.4.1, Bringing Multisignature Wallet Capabilities
The Shibarium network, built by Shiba Inu, has seen significant updates with the deployment of Safe v1.4.1. This upgrade brings new functionalities to the layer-2 blockchain, including smart-account and multisignature wallet capabilities.
Mazrael, a community member, announced the update on X, highlighting the addition of nine verified Safe contracts on Shibariumscan. The Safe protocol is widely used for creating multisignature wallets and smart accounts, allowing multiple signers to manage and authorize blockchain transactions.
The deployment of Safe v1.4.1 marks a significant milestone for Shibarium, with Mazrael stating that the network remains fully operational despite ongoing maintenance and migration. Shibariumscan is currently undergoing a reset process, with 50% of blocks indexed so far.
