Shibarium's Volatile Transaction Count Surges 507% Only to Plummet Again
Shibarium's transaction count surged by 507% on August 9, jumping from 738 to 4,480. However, this spike was short-lived and quickly reversed. By August 10, daily transactions had dropped back down to 831.
This trend of rapid spikes followed by reversals is not new for Shibarium. In July, transactions rose sharply before falling, and on August 1, they reached a high of 2,570 only to return to baseline levels.
Despite this volatility, development activity continues behind the scenes. Mazrael reported that Shiba Inu developers have expanded 18 developer documentation pages, covering topics such as ERC-4337 gasless transactions and Crypto Payments API.
The market recovery remains tentative, with the overall crypto market in a transitional phase according to Glassnode. Institutional flows, taker demand, and options positioning are improving, but spot liquidity and on-chain activity remain weak.
