Silicon Network Countdown: Shutdown Deadline Looms for $9.75 Million
Silicon Network, an Ethereum layer 2 chain from Korbit's orbit, is shutting down. The bridge stopped accepting new deposits on September 2, 2026, and the testnet was closed at the same time.
The withdrawal window will remain open until December 31, 2026, at 12:00 Korean time (04:00 Central European Time). After that, the explorer closes, and the network terminates. The operator warns that assets not withdrawn by then cannot be recovered.
About $9.75 million is currently tied up on Silicon Network, with USDC, WBTC, ether, and USDT making up most of it. However, 77 seconds of chain time passed without a single transaction between the blocks examined. The gas price was at its lowest limit of 0.01 Gwei.
