SimpleSwap Marks One Year in Exodus Wallet with New Features and Assets
SimpleSwap, a self-custodial swap aggregator, has marked its first year of integration within Exodus Wallet. Over this period, the partner side of their product gained five capabilities without requiring any changes to existing integrations.
The features include automatic refunds for swaps paused for screening, which are typically completed within 5-15 minutes, and can take up to 30 minutes in busy networks. The system also provides partner statistics, showing exchanges as failed initially before being marked as refunded once the money is returned.
SimpleSwap's Head of Infrastructure, Stefan Lauer, noted that nobody celebrates a swap that has to be sent back, but emphasized the importance of taking these situations seriously. He highlighted the complexity of handling crypto funds that can carry over history from earlier or third-party transactions, which may not be known by the current sender.
Other capabilities added this year include fee settings per API key and per pair, allowing wallets to issue separate keys for each product or traffic source with their own margins. The exchange creation method now accepts a custom_fee parameter, enabling profit shares to be set when an exchange is created rather than inherited from its key.
