SimpleSwap is a self-custodial multi-source swap aggregator that has been on the market since 2018. It offers users a convenient way to exchange cryptocurrencies between their own wallets without the need for an exchange account or trading terminal.
The platform aggregates liquidity from over 20 CEX and DEX providers, allowing users to compare rates across multiple exchanges and select the best option for their needs. Instead of building swap routes manually, SimpleSwap handles the complexity of wallet-to-wallet exchanges.
SimpleSwap supports over 2,800 cryptocurrencies and has a trading volume of 3.2 million pairs. The platform does not maintain its own order book or keep users' balances on hand. When a user initiates a swap, the service receives their incoming transaction and routes the conversion across aggregated liquidity providers.
SimpleSwap offers two types of rates: fixed and floating. Fixed rates lock in the price for 20 minutes, providing certainty for volatile conditions. Floating rates reflect real-time market pricing, with the final amount determined at the moment of execution through the liquidity provider.
