Singapore Sets High Bar for Stablecoin Issuers with 100% Reserve Proposal
Singapore's Monetary Authority has proposed a framework that would require stablecoin issuers to maintain reserves equal to 100% of tokens in circulation. The proposal focuses on safe, liquid reserves, redemption at face value, custody safeguards, and clearer labels for issuers meeting the framework.
The move sets a high bar for crypto projects, which may push exchanges, payment firms, and token projects to place more value on verifiable infrastructure. AlphaPepe is building an AI-native DEX narrative around its live platform, AlphaSwap, designed to help traders make smarter decisions before swapping tokens.
AlphaSwap scans token contracts, highlights potential contract risks, tracks whale movement, and surfaces trend signals. The project has raised $2.56M from over 11,400 holders at a current price of $0.02873, with more than 300 buyers already using the bonus drop feature that awards additional ALPE tokens.
The proposal is still open for public consultation, but the direction is clear: crypto projects face increasing pressure to show strong reserves and products people can actually use. AlphaPepe offers a different value proposition, positioning itself as an early-stage token with meme appeal, AI utility, DEX product proof, and a presale mechanism that rewards timing.
