Singaporean Citizen Pleads Guilty to $245 Million Crypto Heist

A 22-year-old Singaporean citizen has pleaded guilty to participating in an international cybercrime conspiracy that stole and laundered more than $245 million in cryptocurrency.

Malone Lam, who used aliases such as 'Anne Hathaway,' '$$$' and 'King Greavy,' allegedly organized the operation, selected targets, and assigned roles among the conspirators.

The stolen funds were spent heavily on luxury goods and services, including a $500,000 night at a nightclub, tens of thousands of dollars in handbags given away at parties, and watches worth between $100,000 to over $500,000.

Lam was arrested on September 18, 2025, at his rental home in Miami, after the operation was dismantled by law enforcement working with the FBI and IRS-CI.
