Singaporean Man Pleads Guilty to Leading $245M Crypto Theft Gang
A Singaporean man named Malone Lam has pleaded guilty to leading a group that stole over US $245 million in cryptocurrency from victims across the United States.
Lam, who used online aliases such as 'Anne Hathaway', '$$$', and 'King Greavy', operated his criminal operation from October 2023 until May 2025.
He recruited accomplices through online gaming platforms and spent the stolen funds extravagantly, running up nightclub tabs of half a million dollars a night and purchasing luxury cars worth up to US $3.8 million each.
Lam's gang also rented mansions in LA, the Hamptons, and Miami, hired private jets, and employed a team of private security guards.
