Six Dormant Bitcoin Wallets Transfer $40M After 15 Years
Six dormant Bitcoin wallets have transferred $40.15 million in BTC after remaining inactive for up to 15 years, according to Galaxy Research.
The transfers occurred between August 16 and 26, with the largest movement being 212 BTC worth approximately $13.66 million from a wallet that last saw activity on August 10, 2012.
Galaxy labeled this address as 'Noah Doe #1396 · Salomon Client Dusted,' connecting it to a New York lawsuit involving thousands of dormant Bitcoin addresses.
The recipients of the transfers are mostly unknown, with only one transaction going to an address associated with Boerse Stuttgart Digital, a German provider of crypto custody and trading infrastructure.
