A small real estate firm in Atlanta has fired Salesforce and replaced it with a custom AI tool built on Replit and Anthropic's Claude Code. This move saved them roughly $100,000 annually.

This is not an isolated case. A 45-person startup based in Utah swapped its $40,000-per-year Salesforce contract for a CRM built with Lovable, expecting to save around $38,800 per year.

The Seattle Seawolves, a professional rugby team, used Claude Code to replace both their Salesforce CRM and AXS ticketing system within four months, cutting software spending by roughly $100,000. Their revenue has increased by 25% since March 2026.

Gartner predicts that $234 billion, approximately 20% of total enterprise application software spend, is exposed to AI-driven replacement by 2030. Legacy vendors such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, SAP, and Workday have begun shifting toward consumption-based pricing models.
