Small Transfers from HTX Trigger Account Freezes Amid Regulatory Scrutiny

HTX-linked transfers have sparked concerns about account freezes after recipients reported receiving unexpected deposits. On August 18th, an outrage arose as users claimed to have received small Tether (USDT) payments ranging between 3 and 10 USDT.

The similar amounts and closely grouped timing suggest a repeated transfer pattern rather than typical exchange withdrawals. This pattern takes on significance as several recipients reportedly faced account freezes soon after the deposits arrived.

Even small USDT transfers related to HTX may trigger automatic account review processes by receiving exchanges due to sanctions imposed on the platform. However, wallet labels cannot confirm who initiated these transactions.

HTX has denied initiating unexplained transfers, stating that none of their official platforms were responsible for the deposits. The exchange is investigating possibilities including address tagging and on-chain source identification, leaving attribution unresolved.
