Smarter Web Company Seeks £15-£25m from Perpetual Preferred Shares Tied to Bitcoin
The Smarter Web Company is considering an initial public offering (IPO) of perpetual preferred shares, which would tie the UK-listed web design business directly to its Bitcoin holdings through a tradable financial instrument.
The company, listed on the London Stock Exchange under the ticker SWC, plans to offer the shares under the proposed ticker MORE and raise between £15 million and £25 million in gross proceeds.
This move would introduce a rare financial instrument on British markets: preferred equity explicitly linked to a corporate Bitcoin treasury. The Smarter Web Company has built a significant Bitcoin position since adopting a formal treasury policy in 2025, holding approximately 2,878 BTC worth roughly $178 million to $181 million at recent prices.
