Solana Bots' Secret Sauce: How HumidiFi Gave Them a 3x Trading Boost
A recent study on Solana's automated trading found that a small group of bots achieved a nearly threefold advantage by using one proprietary protocol.
The research, accepted for presentation at ASE 2026, analyzed transactions from October 1 to November 1, 2025, involving the top 100 addresses linked to Trojan and SolanaMevBot. It identified four clusters of addresses, with a group of 12 addresses showing a significantly higher rate of positive WSOL balance changes.
This cluster routed heavily through Jupiter and invoked proprietary Automated Market Makers (AMMs), including HumidiFi. The study found that transactions invoking HumidiFi recorded a positive WSOL balance change about 62.3% of the time, compared to 21.01% for other transactions in the same group.
The research noted that the profit measure was a change between pre-transaction and post-transaction WSOL token balances, but did not determine why HumidiFi-linked transactions performed differently. The study's findings suggest that participants on one chain may encounter different opportunities when their routing, infrastructure, or venue set differs.
