Solana Breaks Year-Long Losing Streak with Positive Monthly Candle
Solana has turned positive after a year of decline, with its first monthly gain in about 12 months. The blockchain platform posted a monthly candle in positive territory for the first time since September 2025, according to data from TradingView. Solana's price had fallen from a peak above $250 in late 2025 to around $60, but it rebounded and regained the $100 level, seen as a psychological resistance point.
A recent trade by a large investor has added to the positive sentiment surrounding Solana. On-chain analytics platform Lookonchain reported that a whale wallet bought 76,856 SOL worth about $8 million on Hyperliquid, adding to a recent rise in whale transactions around Solana. However, it is unclear whether this investor will hold the position for the long term or deploy it for further trading.
The market sees this trade as a sign that deep-pocketed investors are paying attention again, while also viewing the nature of the position as something to watch further. Short-term price action remains unstable, with Solana trading around $102.47 and down 1.28 percent over the past 24 hours.
