Solana Bulls Eye $117 as Price Surges to $102.7
Over the weekend, Solana (SOL) surged to $102.7 on Binance after increasing by an additional 6%. If it closes above the $100 psychological level for the first time since February, a potential breakout from the 2026 price range could be confirmed.
This would make way for an additional 20% upside potential if SOL reaches its next key target of $117 (50-week Moving Average). However, rejection at the range-high near $98 could extend the sideways structure and lead to volatility ahead of next week's Jackson Hole Symposium by top central bank heads.
Analysts are divided on Solana's outlook. Ryan Watkins from Syncracy Capital believes that SOL's fundamentals will improve with key inflation proposals and narratives, potentially leading to a 2X or 4X increase in revenue over the next two years. He projects a big comeback for SOL within 6-18 months.
On the other hand, Jon Charbonneau from DBA counters that Hyperliquid and Pumpfun are better alternatives due to their stronger revenue/fundamentals and lower prices. Michael Nadeau echoes this view, suggesting that most of Solana's economics comes from Pumpfun (memecoin launchpad).
