Solana Bulls Get Boost as DeFi Giant Loads Up on SOL
Solana's SOL token has seen significant growth in Q3, increasing by over 35%, but it still lags behind Ethereum's near-60% gain during the same period. The $SOL/$ETH ratio has dropped by more than 13% in three months, suggesting that Solana's underperformance is partially due to Ethereum's outshining.
However, a closer look reveals that Solana's growth is not entirely explained by Ethereum's dominance. In absolute terms, Solana holds strong, implying that the asset may be undervalued. This notion is further supported by the recent announcement from DeFi Development Corporation (NASDAQ: DFDV), which has expanded its treasury of Solana to 2.39 million $SOL.
DFDV's acquisition of additional SOL tokens could create a feedback loop between rising stock demand and increased SOL accumulation, potentially giving Solana a key catalyst to catch up with Ethereum. Furthermore, strong developer activity on the Solana network is adding to the DAT narrative's fundamental base.
