Solana Co-Founder Challenges Robinhood's Fee Model
The co-founders of Solana and Robinhood Chain recently engaged in a public debate on X about transaction fees and revenue sharing models. Anatoly Yakovenko, co-founder of Solana, suggested that Robinhood could offer gasless transactions by reallocating revenue shares.
However, Steven Goldfeder, co-founder of Robinhood Chain, countered that Robinhood's fee model allows them to keep most gas fees, unlike Solana where fees would be subsidized out of pocket. This highlights differing strategies in blockchain fee management and revenue capture.
The debate comes after Robinhood Chain experienced a brief delay in Ethereum batch postings amid record transaction volumes. Although no funds were lost, services quickly resumed.
