Solana Company Announces Governance Votes Ahead of On-Chain Decision
Solana Company, an institutional validator operator in Asia-Pacific, has announced its voting positions on three Solana Governance Proposals ahead of on-chain voting scheduled to start on August 22, 2026. The company plans to vote FOR SGP-0001 (The Solana Constitution) and AGAINST SGP-0002 (Double Disinflation Rate) and SGP-0003 (Resource and Inclusion Fee). According to Solana Company, its opposition to SGP-0002 and SGP-0003 is based on timing rather than objectives.
The company's focus on predictable economics has left voting participation and institutional response as watchpoints. The terminal inflation rate of 1.5% is already fixed, according to Solana's issuance schedule. This announcement does not lock delegators into the company's positions, as the underlying staking holder can override its operator's vote.
