Solana Correction Looms as Profit-Taking Intensifies
Solana's recent surge to around $103 has left traders on edge, as profit-taking intensifies following the asset's over 38% gain since August 17. The rally was fueled by a broader crypto-market recovery, with Bitcoin breaking above $80,000 on August 25.
Despite the gains, Solana's network activity remains robust, processing around 1.32 billion non-vote transactions between August 17 and August 23, a new weekly record for the network. Validator voting is also underway, with proposals that could slow the growth of SOL supply gaining attention.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) indicates Solana's price is in overbought territory, suggesting a correction may be imminent. If sellers break below $92, the next target would be the former resistance near $88. However, a sustained move above $103 could invalidate this scenario.
