Solana has made a significant upgrade to its mainnet by reducing slot times from 400 milliseconds to 350 milliseconds, increasing transaction confirmation speeds.
This change is part of the Agave v4.2 / Anza rollout, which aims to further reduce slot times to 200 milliseconds pending validator approval.
The upgrade also includes increased block compute capacity, improving scalability and efficiency.
