Solana has made a significant move in the world of poker by partnering with the World Series of Poker (WSOP) as its official Presenting Sponsor. This deal brings cryptocurrency creators to the table and allows players to buy into tournaments using SOL, USDC, and USDT without any conversion fees or friction.

The partnership includes the WSOP: Solana Showdown invitational tournament on August 4, 2026, which will feature a mix of professional poker players and crypto influencers. The event is hosted by Jamie Gold, the 2006 WSOP Main Event champion, and also features crypto influencers Ansem, CryptoWendyO, and Gabriel Haines.

Solana is not just stopping at one event, as it has also sponsored established poker ambassadors including three-time WSOP bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth and Michael Mizrachi. Additionally, there will be creator and celebrity VIP tables, along with exclusive hospitality events in both Las Vegas and the Bahamas.
