Solana's decentralized-exchange (DEX) trading volume has reached $60 million this month, solidifying its position as the leader in the space. According to DeFiLlama, Solana-based DEXs have surpassed Ethereum's $34 million in trading volume, despite Ethereum being the largest smart-contract blockchain.

The appeal of Solana lies in its lower transaction fees and higher throughput, which has attracted both developers and users. This is reflected in its revenue generation, with Solana earning $25 million this month alone, surpassing Ethereum's $16 million.

Solana's dominance has been consistent since October, with a notable peak in January when Solana-based DEXs saw a staggering $258 billion in trading volume. Although its total value locked (TVL) stands at $9 billion, significantly lower than Ethereum's $57 billion, the blockchain's performance bolsters a positive outlook for the SOL-ETH ratio.
