Solana ETFs Surge Amid Alpenglow Upgrade Hopes
Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) ETFs have seen their cumulative inflows decline over the past seven months, despite holding nearly $52 billion in assets. In contrast, XRP and Solana (SOL) ETFs have grown, with XRP's cumulative inflows increasing by 28% since January and SOL's inflows rising 33%. The smaller bases of SOL and XRP give these funds more room for growth than their larger counterparts.
Solana's Alpenglow upgrade, aiming to reduce finality time from 12.8 seconds to about 150 milliseconds, could be a catalyst for increased demand in the coming months. If monthly inflows recover above $100 million, SOL can maintain its lead as the fastest-growing ETF by year-end. XRP needs renewed ETF demand and passage of the CLARITY Act to challenge Solana's growth.
