Solana Exchange HumidiFi Halts Trading Amid Internal Network Incident

HumidiFi, one of Solana's busiest decentralized exchanges, halted trading on August 22 after an internal network incident compromised its own systems. The platform was quick to clarify that customer funds and third-party assets were not affected.

The incident highlights the risk associated with proprietary automated market makers (AMMs), which supply their own capital as liquidity rather than relying on public pools. In this case, HumidiFi's own funds are on the line, containing the financial damage to the platform itself.

HumidiFi has not disclosed the size of the loss, leaving traders and token holders to speculate. The incident is the third notable operational disruption in roughly eight months for the young platform, which launched in mid-2025 and quickly captured a significant market share on Solana's DEX landscape.
