Solana Holds Firm as Robinhood Chain Fails to Dethrone

The recent launch of Robinhood Chain has not yet dethroned Solana as the dominant blockchain for memecoin traders. According to onchain data from Bitget, Solana's decentralized exchanges saw over $440 million in 24-hour trading volume on July 8, just edging out Robinhood Chain's roughly $405 million.

Roughly one week after its mainnet launch on July 1, Robinhood Chain attracted a large influx of traders and capital. However, the majority of this activity - approximately 79% - came from memecoin trading, rather than tokenized real-world assets or stocks as intended.

This pattern is not new, with BNB Chain experiencing a similar cycle in October 2025. After an initial surge in memecoin trading activity, traders eventually returned to Solana due to its technical advantages and liquidity.
