Solana Integrates with MoneyGram's 60M User Network via API
MoneyGram has launched its MoneyGram Ramps service on the Solana blockchain, allowing developers to access its payment network via API. This integration brings together a high-performance, low-latency, large-scale, and scalable SOL ecosystem with one of the world's largest remittance networks.
The partnership connects MoneyGram's 60 million customer base with nearly 500,000 locations selling MoneyGram globally at different points and places. This bridge between legacy payments and Solana infrastructure provides a convenient way for users to access stablecoins without intermediaries.
MoneyGram Ramps is a single API layer that enables moving between cash, bank accounts, and stablecoins. The company has existing licensing infrastructure and partnerships with Stellar for USDC cash-out, eliminating the need for significant investments in creating and rolling out physical rails.
