Solana Mainnet Supports Larger Transactions with Transaction V1 Upgrade

Solana's mainnet has been upgraded to support larger transactions, with the Transaction V1 feature now live on the mainnet, testnet, and devnet.

The upgrade increases the maximum size of serialized transactions from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, giving developers more space for complex actions in one atomic process.

This is particularly relevant for DeFi developers, wallet providers, indexers, and RPC operators, as it will allow them to handle more transaction data involved in workloads such as zero-knowledge proofs, huge multisig operations, and signatures including BLS.
