Solana Mobile's Seeker Summer Campaign Rewards 111 Million SKR Tokens
Emmett Hollyer, the general manager of Solana Mobile, runs a rare hardware product that doubles as a token distribution mechanism. The device is called Seeker, and it's built by Solana Labs.
Hollyer introduced Seeker at Breakpoint 2024 in Singapore, where it was priced at $500 with a $450 early pre-order tier. The device holds private keys in hardware rather than an app, making it similar to a dedicated hardware key store with a phone wrapped around it.
Seeker Summer ran as four two-week rounds, each with daily app drops and quests that paid collectible badges. The campaign allocated 111 million SKR tokens over the four rounds, with more than half of Round 1's allocation going straight into staking rather than to market.
