Solana Neobank Avici Hacked for $653,548
Solana-based neobank Avici has been hacked for $653,548, with an attacker draining funds from card collateral vaults. The token price of AVICI has fallen by approximately 40% to $0.24.
The attack occurred on Friday, with the hacker submitting a crafted signature bundle to make themselves an admin on the escrow accounts and then withdrawing the funds. Avici's documentation had promised that only a user's wallet could withdraw funds from the escrow contract after deducting spends.
It is unclear how many users were affected by the hack, but over 9,000 are reported to be impacted. The company has not confirmed whether the remaining vaults can still be accessed or if card settlement with Third National is affected.
