Solana Network Fees Plummet Amidst Pump.fun Rally
According to data from Unfolded, Solana's network fee revenue dropped by 44% in Q2 2025 compared to the previous quarter. This marks a significant slowdown for the network, which previously reached peak performance with quarterly fee revenue around $900 million between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025.
Meanwhile, Pump.fun (PUMP) token saw a two-month high of $0.00207 on Monday after crypto trader Ansem revealed he bought PUMP at $0.001675. This move extended the rally that began Sunday when PUMP jumped from about $0.0016.
Jito has announced plans to redirect 100% of fees generated from its upcoming trading platform, JTX, toward JTO buybacks and burns over the next twelve months. However, this move did not seem to affect the token's price as it plunged nearly 20% in the past 24 hours.
