Solana Network Fees Surpass $1M, Signaling Resurgence in On-Chain Activity
Solana's daily network fee revenue has hit $1 million, marking its highest level in six months. This increase reflects a resurgence in on-chain activity across the ecosystem, which had seen quieter periods earlier in the year.
The metric known as REV (Real Economic Value) combines base fees, priority fees, and MEV (Miner Extractable Value) tips earned by the Solana network. A rise in REV indicates not only more transactions but also higher demand for block space, which can be driven by increased trading, DeFi activity, or NFT transactions.
In July, Solana-based applications generated $82.9 million in revenue, the highest since February. This suggests that not only is the network itself earning more, but the projects built on top of it are also seeing increased usage and monetization.
