Solana Network Surges Amid Token Price Drop
Solana's network has achieved a new milestone in the first quarter of 2026, processing an all-time high of 112.6 million average daily non-vote transactions, marking a 50% increase from the previous quarter.
This remarkable growth is a testament to Solana's increasing adoption and utility as a settlement layer for tokenized finance. Despite this surge in network activity, the SOL token saw a decline of 33% in value over the same period, closing near $83 due to a broader market correction that affected altcoins.
The real-world asset (RWA) market cap on Solana grew by 43% to reach $2.01 billion, with notable contributors including BlackRock's BUIDL fund doubling its investment to $525 million after Anchorage added custody support.
